1995-042/001 – Unknown

Xerox copy “World’s Greatest Ship, The story of the Leviathan” by Frank O. Braynard. There are 10 pages from over 200. The donor copied pages that involved nurses, mainly Mary Robinson (Godfrey) she and 7 nurses were ordered to report to Captain Phelps (C. O.) before midnight December 30, 1918, being the first nurses assigned to sea duty with the Navy. There are several paragraphs referring to the nurses and also quotes from Nurse Robinson. Very interesting page 242. “The more I learn about men, the more perplexed I am. Talk about men not ever understanding women. I think the other way around would be better” she got to visit Paris. General Pershing was on the ship when they returned home. See 1990-066/001.
