1995-041/006 – Unknown

27 x 18″ Wooden framed grouping of stampes and first day issue envelope. The stamp at top is 32 cent showing six military, 4 men, 2 women, all branches of service. Caption reads: “Hometowns honor their returning veterans 1945.” I don’t know date of issue. It has been enlarged. Middle is the exact duplicate described in 1995-041/003. The bottom is an envelope, official first day of issue. Stamped Honolulu, Hawaii, September 1995 96820. Upper (R) cornor is the military stamp described as the “top” stamp. On left is picture (BW) of civilians and military rejoicing the end of the war. Beneath picture: “Commemorating World War II 1945: Victory at Last, V-J Celebration 1995” A beige matting surrounds contents with a thin gold line all around, glass cover. A gift to Rita Clark Howard from Postmaster General. (see 1995-041/002)
