1995-032/007 – Box, Shadow

Wood framed shadow box containing – (L) top and going counter-clockwise: 1. Lieutenant Commander insignia device (large), gold oak leaf. 2. Button, gold with eagle, worn on dress whites and blues. 3. Naval Officer Cap Device, small. 4. Navy Nurse Corps device, woven gold, for sleeve. 5. Ribbons L – R top: 1. Navy Unit Citation 2. American Campaign 3. Korean Service. L – R bottom 1. Asiatic – Pacific with Bronze Star 2. Victory Medal WWII 3. National Defense. 6. St. Christopher (medal?). Frances kept this with her dog tags. It was given to all military nurses from her school of nursing (Jewish) she is Protestant. 7. Dog tags: Cleeton, Frances etc. 8. Flight Nurse wings – Korean War and after (oak leaf in middle of wings) 9. Nurse Corps Device, oak leaf. 10. Lieutenant Commander rank device, small. Gold oak leaf. 11. Officers device, large, worn on covers. 12. Flight nurse wings, original worn World War II only, (fouled anchor Nurse Corps device in middle of wings with acorn). Issued on completion of Aviation Medicine Course, February 1945 Alameda, CA.
