BW. Helen Rein Paliskis (in civilian uniform) when Director of Nurses – Aultman Hospital – Picture taken between 1945-1948. History: Irene Mathews was given the NC device (pin) worn by Helen Rein Paliskis (1921-1926) It was assumed this was the original device worn 1908-1917. On her death Irene gave the pin to Jan Barcott- see copy of letter relating circumstances 4 December 1993. – Jan Barcott wrote about Helen Rein Paliskis in the NNCA Newsletter regarding the gift of the NC device. One of Helen’s students Mary Morrison Green NC, read the article and fond memories renewed. Mary Morrison Green made a copy of her photo of Helen for the NNCA collection.
