Republic of Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation ribbon bar. Presented to nurses on the USHS Consolation when sent to Jourane Bay, now DaNang, to relieve the French in 1955. When medal presented to ships crew it was called the Vietnam Ribbon for Passage to Freedom. It is now the Republic of Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation. The ribbon bar is attached to a longer metal device to hold multiple bars.
