“Storm hat”, a black wool felt cloche style. Issued in 1929, replacing the wide brimmed hat (of 1929). One donor stated this hat was “worn at sea with cape” and also on liberty in Pearl Harbor 1942 with ward white uniform”. This cover was replaced in 1942 with the flat cover (see 1990-062/002).
