Established 31 July 1990. Seven members serve on the Board of Directors. Each Board member serves for two years. Elections are held annually with 3-4 Board members being replaced every year.
Membership: Currently there are 170 members from the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Membership is open to all Navy Nurses, active and former, active duty, retired, and reserve who are serving or been honorably discharged.
Meetings: Luncheon meetings are held twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. The full membership is invited to participate. Usually a guest speaker or entertainment is part of the luncheon agenda. A newsletter is published in June and November.
Chapter Dues: WMANNCA dues are $15 a year and collected simultaneously with national NNCA dues.
Chapter Mission/Projects: The purpose of WMANNCA is to maintain a social, professional, and support network that encourages continuous identity with current (Active Duty and Reserve), Retired, and Former Navy Nurses. Additionally, we support the purposes of NNCA, our parent organization.
Need Money For Graduate School? 2017 Graduate Degree Nursing Scholarship Opportunity! Three WMANNCA Chapter Nursing Scholarships will be offered to three Navy Nurses, active duty (non DUINS), reserve component, retired or former Navy Nurses, to continue their studies for an advanced graduate degree in Nursing. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to each winner. The applicant must live or work in the WMANNCA AOR (Maryland, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware or the District of Columbia.
