Meetings: Luncheon meetings are held yearly, in the Fall and Spring. In addition, the board meets between two and four times a year. Newsletters are published and distributed in the Fall and Spring.
Chapter Dues: Yearly membership dues are $15 each year.
Chapter Mission/Projects: Primary mission is to support of the NNCA. Socializing and information sharing are vital parts of the chapter’s mission, as well. We will be considering revamping the scholarship committee after having taken a slight hiatus, due to decreased funds. This chapter is very active in providing funds and support for the DAISY Foundation Awards, which are given on a quarterly basis to the nurses from the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England (NMRTC NE). This chapter purchased (2020) a camcorder to support the Oral History Project to capture the experiences of nurses who wish to share their stories, which is a new mission. Additionally, members are involved in other projects including: Women’s, veteran’s, military and retiree group projects, events, and charities..
