The NENNCA planning committee has selected a 7-night Canada & New England cruise departing from Boston, MA. Fall foliage cruises are renowned for their breathtaking views of nature's vibrant transformation and a perfect getaway for reuniting with fellow NNCA colleagues. Relax, unwind, and immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes, charming coastal towns, and warm hospitality of New England and Canada aboard the Norwegian Jade as she sets sail on Thursday, September 26, 2024, and returns on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The ship will visit 5 cruise ports, including its departure port.

During the Sea days, we will hold a reception and the biennial Memorial Service. All other annual meetings will be held in May.


Booking

The response to the NNCA Fall Foliage Cruise greatly exceeded our expectations! Nearly 130 cabins were booked and reservations through our cruise planner have now closed. All questions concerning the cruise should now be directed to nennca@nnca.orgFurther reservations are available directly through Norwegian Cruise Line. Once booked, go to NCL.org to create your account and view additional information and updates concerning the cruise.


FAQs

There were two types of rooms obtained for the group - Balcony or Oceanview. Both came with the following add ons.

1. 1 x Shore Excursion Discount of $50
2. 2 x Ultimate Beverage Package (gratuities $152.60 x2)
3. 1 x $100 per cabin onboard credit
4. 2 x Internet 150 minutes
5. 2 x 2 Night Dining Package (gratuities $17.80 x2)

These amenities are part of your overall package price and are listed in your confirmation. 


2. What are the gratuity costs for the beverage and dining packages, and do we have to pay that service charge

You will see service charges added to the bill which are the gratuities for the beverageand dining packages selected for the group. You are free to delete those packages if you do not want to pay the gratuity. There is also a $20/day gratuity ($140 pp) that can be paid in advance by the group or individually at the end of the cruise. We will seek a group vote of paying in advance once the bookings are made.


3. Can only one person in the cabin buy the beverage package? 

Unfortunately, NCL cant remove just one beverage package; however, you dont have to make any decisions until final payment.


4. Can only one person in the cabin buy the dining package?

Yes, dining packages are sold individually.


5What are the Military Veterans perks? 

Once everyone is booked and deposits are made there is a mechanism to apply a 10% discount. It requires beneficiary information on at least one person in the cabin to qualify.Dick will provide detailed guidelines soon.


6Will there be hiking on the trip?

The areas do have hiking trails and the excursion information will be available soonWecan also schedule private group excursions if the group desires this option. 


7. How do I book excursions?

Excursions for the cruise can be booked directly through NCL.com. You will need to create an account and enter the reservation number on your confirmation. Only one excursion is currently posted (7/28/2023) for our cruise.

The CruiseOne corporate office has also sent information concerning excursions. You may book through CruiseOne or directly through NCL.com.


8Will group hotel reservations be available? 

We are working on the hotel block for the night before the cruise, 25 Sep 2024, and bus transfers to the portThere will be a transfer charge for the buses.


9. Is distilled water available for CPAP machines? 

Complete the accessibility form to receive the distilled water.

If the water is not in your room when you arrive, contact the room steward. You may also want to bring an extension cord, so placement of the machine is unrestricted.


10. Can only one person in the cabin elect to have travel protection? 

Yes, travel protection can be purchased separately.


11. Can my spouse travel with me:

Yes, family and friends are welcome to share cabins or book additional cabins with NNCA members.


12. Do I have to be an active NNCA member?

Yes, it is imperative that you are an active member to attend the cruise functions and receive email notifications. Remember, the first year of NNCA membership is free and non-members can go to NNCA.org or click here to join. Memberships will also be reactivated for delinquent members that book in the NNCA block. 


13. Is there a second deposit?

Many of you asked about the "Second Deposit" noted on the confirmation page. Your deposits are up to date if you provided a credit card for the $250.00 cabin deposit. The final payment is required in May 2024.
