Florida Navy Nurse
Corps Association (FNNCA)
Navy nurses in the Orlando area began
holding regular meetings in November 1986. The chapter was
chartered on 30 January, 1991. The Board of Directors includes a President, Vice President,
Secretary and Treasurer. There are 5 additional Directors.
Membership: Open to all Navy
Nurses, active and former active duty, retired and reserve, residing
in the general peninsula of Florida and
southeast Georgia.
Meetings: The chapter holds four luncheons per year: two in the greater Orlando area and two
in the Jacksonville area. The Board of Directors meetings are held
separately, twice a year in September and February. The chapter publishes a newsletter (The FNNCA
Scuttlebutt) twice yearly.
Chapter Dues: FNNCA dues are
$10 per year, payable in conjunction with annual NNCA dues.
Chapter Mission/Projects: To
provide support of the NNCA and a social forum for information
sharing and networking. Projects: Donations to the chapter Scholarship
Fund are accepted year around by
the Treasurer.
